Thanks for all the comments. I’ve been thinking about what we can do as individuals about elephants:

become better informed ourselves, so as to

spread the word better
-
sign petitions
-
donate some dosh
-
write to one’s MP
-
write to the Chinese Ambassador et al
-
publicize the horror to one’s friends, but trying not to be too much of a pain
-
Any other ideas?
No one thing on its own will work, but if enough people did enough things it must surely make some difference.
